| The Ingredients & The Way of Cooking |
At J's Kitchen, we base the macrobiotic concept in our cooking. We use each produce in its entirety – rice is brown and organic, vegetable skin is not wasted, seasoning is natural and additive-free, the water we use is filtered to its highest quality, nothing is bleached or overly processed, and ingredients are free of eggs, dairy products and animal fats. You may very well taste the good old days in our food, as well as the abundance of nutrition, for all grains and vegetables we use are grown in a way people raised them before pesticides took over the world. |

Our Approach to Being Environmentally Friendly |
At J's Kitchen, we offer a lifestyle that is gentle to mind, body, and the environment. All our takeout containers are 100% recyclable, biodegradable, or compostable. From kitchen wrap to detergent, we want to be friendly to the environment. Our waste is minimal because we cook all vegetables entirely. Practicing a lifestyle conscious to our Mother Earth is LOHAS Style as people call it, a Lifestyle of Health and Sustainability. Walking into J’s Kitchen and enjoying our food means just that, and you are already playing a part in that amazing cycle. |
| What is Macrobiotic? |
A word "Macrobiotic" originates from "macro=large" and "bios=life". It is a practice of achieving healing and continual wellness through lifestyle, attitude and diet. Macrobiotic involves an awareness that we are connected to nature, and therefore what is best for our physical welness is those that comes from Mother Earth. It may sound a bit complicated, but it’s actually very simple.
Macrobiotic life style has gained its followers over time across the United States and Europe. Japanese diet was considered “ideal” before the high-growth period hit, and the Western food culture shifted the way of eating in Japan. Today the Macrobiotic diet is being spread around the world, and people are once again valuing and appreciating the traditional way of eating… |
